Faster Pc for You » 2008 » February
Ok, so I guess I'm a lousy salesman because I can't get into lots of glorious phrases here for how nice it is to have my old QUICK computer back. When I first got my XP computer it was so fast that I told my best friend, "This thing is so powerful I don't know why I'd ever have to upgrade to a more powerful computer."
Then the time factor kicked in. The more time I spent actually using my computer the slower - true, it was little by little but still... - the slower it got.
Took forever to start up. Programs took two or three times longer to load up. Jobs took me longer and longer to complete.
I Wanted My Fast Computer Back and I Got It!
It was really a drag. A drag on my time and a drag on my fun using the computer.
Anyway, for $9.97 - yeah, only Ten Bucks - this guy gives me over twenty pages of instructions on how to clean up the Microsoft Mess that became my computer. Easy stuff. I'm no computer geek but even I could follow his instructions. Some of the stuff I knew but had forgotten. Other stuff was just plain news to me. Even free software I could use to clean up my computer. Oh, and he's not selling addtional stuff there. It's just information.
Anyhow, if your computer sometimes bugs you because it's getting slower or you just want to do some preventive maintenance to keep it fast, I'd say check out this guys help now.(It's not a buy button, it's just information.)
It’s not so difficult to lose weight; the hardest part is actually keeping it off long term, that’s what a lot of dieters forget! You need to plan to change your eating habits for life, not just a couple of months! You will have a better chance at losing and keeping off weight if you change a number of of your bad habits now and swap them for the tips listed below.
1.. Don’t deprive yourself completely, allow yourself one treat each week, just don’t go overboard and eat a whole block of chocolate! 2.. Ensure that you reward yourself for mini goals, for example each 7 pounds you lose, buy yourself a little non food treat. 3.. Make sure that your cupboard and desk drawer at work are full of healthy treats so that you don’t have any excuse to seek junk food. 4.. Make sure that you drink at least 8 large glasses of water a day, water helps you to feel full and fight of the tummy rumbles. Most people are walking around dehydrated and don’t even realize it! 5.. Feeling stressed, don’t reach for the chips, go for a 30 minute walk or jog, when you get back you won’t feel like eating junk food. 6.. When watching television use the commercial breaks to do some exercise, whether it be stretching, jumping, walking around the house, jogging on the spot, on the treadmill or excise bike it amazing how this can add up. If you are like the average person you probably watch 2-3 hours of television a day, this means that there is approximately 1 hour of commercial breaks that you could spend exercising! 7.. When you first start your healthy eating plan make sure that you eliminate all junk food from both your house and if possible your work place. Your family and colleagues may make a fuss about this at first but you are helping them too. 8.. Keep a food diary so that you can make sure you understand the consequences of what you are eating. Sometimes we think that we are doing well, but when logging all our intakes we aren’t doing as well as we thought. I find that it makes me think twice if I know that I am accountable for everything that I eat. 9.. Never eat when watching television or reading.. How many times have you managed to eat a whole packet of biscuits or a whole block of chocolate during a gripping movie or book? Avoid this situation altogether and don’t eat either in front of the television or whilst reading. 10.. Take your lunch with you to work at least twice a week; this will help you to avoid situations where it could be easy to break your diet (e.g. the canteen or vending machine!)
Please remember that if have a bad day don’t just give in and go back to your old habits just get straight back into this healthy eating plan. Yes you may fall off again, but in the long run you will be a lot better off than if you just give up.
