Ok, so I guess I'm a lousy salesman because I can't get into lots of glorious phrases here for how nice it is to have my old QUICK computer back. When I first got my XP computer it was so fast that I told my best friend, "This thing is so powerful I don't know why I'd ever have to upgrade to a more powerful computer."

Then the time factor kicked in. The more time I spent actually using my computer the slower - true, it was little by little but still... - the slower it got.

Took forever to start up. Programs took two or three times longer to load up. Jobs took me longer and longer to complete.

I Wanted My Fast Computer Back and I Got It!

It was really a drag. A drag on my time and a drag on my fun using the computer.

Anyway, for $9.97 - yeah, only Ten Bucks - this guy gives me over twenty pages of instructions on how to clean up the Microsoft Mess that became my computer. Easy stuff. I'm no computer geek but even I could follow his instructions. Some of the stuff I knew but had forgotten. Other stuff was just plain news to me. Even free software I could use to clean up my computer. Oh, and he's not selling addtional stuff there. It's just information.

Summer Travel Health Insurance Tips

Summer is a popular time for travel. Children and the elderly must especially be careful to avoid over exposure to the heat. To be safe from the heat you can follow these tips:

1. The time between 10 am and 2 pm can be the hottest. It is best to avoid being outdoors during those times. Schedule your day’s events according to that and plan to be indoors or in shaded areas.

2. Wear light weight, loose clothing in light colors when you go out. A wide brimmed hat can protect your face and neck. Clothes made out of cotton can keep you cool.

3. Use sunscreen (at least SPF 30) even if you are not planning on direct exposure to the sun. Check the label to be sure the sunscreen provides adequate protection and will not wear off quickly in water. Re apply sunscreen every few hours, even the strongest sunscreen can wear off in a few hours.

4. Drink a lot of water because it is easy to lose fluids in the heat. Do not wait till you are thirsty. It is better to drink small quantities of water throughout the day instead of large amounts at infrequent intervals. Do not consume excessive alcohol or drinks with too much sugar, it can cause dehydration.

5. Heat exhaustion or heat stroke can occur during extreme heat conditions. Heatstroke is a dangerous condition that can be fatal. It can come about suddenly and result in loss of consciousness. When the sweating mechanism fails it can lead to extremely high body temperature and make the skin hot, red and dry. You must cool the skin with cold water and ice and take the person to the hospital immediately.

6. Water and electrolyte loss can cause a less serious condition called heat exhaustion. The victim is fatigued and weak and may experience excessive sweating. Sometimes they may also experience muscle cramps because of salt depletion. Pale and clammy skin is a common sign. Provide rest and lost of fluids in a cool and well ventilated area.

In such situations it is important that you have necessary travel or visitor health insurance. Before you start on your trip, talk to your insurance agent. Have fun this summer!
