Faster Pc for You » Internet

Ok, so I guess I'm a lousy salesman because I can't get into lots of glorious phrases here for how nice it is to have my old QUICK computer back. When I first got my XP computer it was so fast that I told my best friend, "This thing is so powerful I don't know why I'd ever have to upgrade to a more powerful computer."

Then the time factor kicked in. The more time I spent actually using my computer the slower - true, it was little by little but still... - the slower it got.

Took forever to start up. Programs took two or three times longer to load up. Jobs took me longer and longer to complete.

I Wanted My Fast Computer Back and I Got It!

It was really a drag. A drag on my time and a drag on my fun using the computer.

Anyway, for $9.97 - yeah, only Ten Bucks - this guy gives me over twenty pages of instructions on how to clean up the Microsoft Mess that became my computer. Easy stuff. I'm no computer geek but even I could follow his instructions. Some of the stuff I knew but had forgotten. Other stuff was just plain news to me. Even free software I could use to clean up my computer. Oh, and he's not selling addtional stuff there. It's just information.

Anyhow, if your computer sometimes bugs you because it's getting slower or you just want to do some preventive maintenance to keep it fast, I'd say check out this guys help now.(It's not a buy button, it's just information.)

Blogs are used for many reasons these days (whether it is called a blog or not). Much of the time it is used for marketing. Other times it is used to distribute information much like a press release would. This article, however, will go back to the roots of what a blog is: an online journal.

You can think of a blog as more than an online journal but an online journal that you want to share with the internet community. Some have used this as a soapbox to express opinioins, some have used it as an outlet for creative or comedic writing, and some have used it simply to share family updates or life updates. As blogging software continues to evolve, more features are available to the modern day blogger including video galleries, photo galleries, and more!

So what makes up a blog? A blog contains many entries called blog posts. A blog post generally has these parts to it:

title: this is the title of your blog entry (or journal entry)

body: this is the content of your blog post

trackback: other sites can be linked back to your blog

permanent link: every article that you write has a URL

comments: this section is for readers to post their comments about your blog entry

What makes blogging especially easy today is the advancement of blogging software. Specifically I really enjoy Blogger and Wordpress software. They are both web based so you can blog from anywhere. And there are further configurations you can do to blog through email or through other software. Another huge strength of Blogger and Wordpress is their use of templates or themes: this allows you to change the web design of your blog easily at the push of a button

Though I have been focusing on blogging as a way of journaling, just remember also that blogging is at its core a way to distribute information effectively. So there can be many ways you can use blogging. I personally have a personal blog as well as many business blogs. Advertising, marketing, distributing photos and videos, and distributing paid content are all ways you can start a blog for. So just keep an open mind as you start a blog, becuase you will probably find you will see many uses for blogging and will end up starting quite a few yourself!
